MilitaryShot down over Baltic Sea on 20 June 1944 on raid to Politz. 750 mile forced march. Liberated by British 11th Armored Div. under General Montgomery about 5 May 1945 and flown to England to treat my malnutrition and bullet wound in leg. Was rotated home after hospital stay in England of four weeks.
