Robert L Bostick

Military

On 22 July 1942, Bostick was listed as co-pilot for Hagenbuch's crew of the 427th Bomb Squadron of the 303rd Bomb Group. He transferred to the 550th Bomb Squadron of the 385th Bomb Group.



On 29 November 1943, flying B17F #42-5902 'Lady Liz', he was forced to land at nearest airfield, Ellough, as engines began to fail.



On 29 January 1944, Bostick's crew were shot down by fighters on mission to Frankfurt in B-17 #42-97506. He was taken as a Prisoner of War (POW).
