Robert Heinrich Hormann
MilitaryHe Joined The US Army in October 1942 and became an aviation cadet in January 1943. In 1943 he received his Commission as a Second Lieutenant. He served in the Second World War as well as the Korean War and the Berlin Crisis. He flew 41 combat missions in Europe and accumulated 5,800 hours of Military flight time flying 13 different types of aircraft before passing away in 2007.

I am Bob's great niece. I grew up with him as my grandfather. I have known this man my entire life and live 2 miles from where he is buried. I have never know of a cousin Marvin hormann nor heard of one. He retired as a brigadier general. He never flew in the Korean war as he was in fort Wayne indiana during the entire time of the Korean war. He ran the air force base in fort Wayne indiana.
