Robert Floyd Stott
MilitaryOn mission to Villacoublay, FR on 5 Feb 1944, B-17F #42-3501 'Kasch's Kids' turned back due to mechanical problems. Crew baled out and a/c crashed Dymchurch, Kent. RTD. While taxiing for take off in B-17G #42-31567 on 6 Mar 1944, the brakes failed and the a/c ran into a parked truck. RTD. Shot down by fighters on a mission to Erkner, Berlin on 8 Mar 1944, B-17F #42-30847 'Pegasus' crashed SE of Vechta, Gr. Prisoner of War (POW). Was in Stalag Luft IV, VI and Buchenwald he also went on the 86 mile Black March across Germany. He flew a total of 15 missions
