Robert D Benjamin
MilitaryFrom Don Kowalsky: "I have an article I found in an old newspaper printed in 1944-1945 about a B-17 named Dottie Jane, the man was one of the gunners by the name of S/Sgt. Robert Benjamin, he was from my home town of Arcadia, Wisconsin."
Robert Benjamin was injured on his thirteen mission. B-17G #42-31227 'Dottie Jane' was hit by flak on a mission to Klein Machnow, Berlin on 6 Mar 1944 but was able to return to base. RTD.

"Don, I knew Bob, he was a good friend of mine. We did lots of hunting and fishing together. The plane was shot up pretty bad and Bob was wounded in the upper leg. They barely made it back to England. Bob passed away a few years ago. Russ"
