Robert Railing was an armourer with the 851st Bomb Squadron. Some of the aircraft he was associated with were Carolina Moon, Alice Blue Gown, Looky Looky and £5 with Breakfast all with artwork painted by MSgt Jay Cowan. Given the choice between sailing home or returning by air he chose to head back to the US on Bad Penney.
He died March 30 1996
