Richard M. Heyman, Jr. (Dick) joined up with the U.S. Army Air Corps on June 2, 1942 and served in the military as a pilot for 32 years, until his retirement in May 1973. He moved to Oregon and is currently serving on a city counsel at the age of 91. In 1960, he married Barbara J. Keeling from Ipswich, Suffolk, UK, and is still married after 55 years.
Youngest pilot in the 8th AF.
B-26 Invaders during the Korean War and scored 1 air kill.
F-105 Thunderchiefs in Vietnam.
