Titusville, PA 16354, USA | 16 April 2007 | 04/17/07 — TITUSVILLE — Richard Lowell Robertson, 85, formerly of 415 W. Elm St., Titusville, died at 2:35 a.m. Monday, April 16, 2007, at Golden Living Center in Titusville. He had been a resident there for the past three years. Mr. Robertson was born May 17, 1921, in Titusville, to the late Rev. Thomas Arthur (T.A.) Robertson and Stella McCoy Robertson. He married May Marie Luton, who survives and lives at Southwoods Assisted Living Community in Titusville. He was a graduate of Titusville High School, class of 1938; Penn State University, class of 1942; and earned his master's degree in industrial arts from California State Teachers College. Mr. Robertson was a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Army Air Corps. He was a radio operator on a B-24 in the European Theatre and was honorably discharged in 1949. He was formerly employed by Tenefly, N.J., School District, Saegertown School District, and one year with Pleasantville High School. When the school merged with Titusville he taught in the junior high school. He finished his career in 1985 as head of the Industrial Arts Department. Mr. Robertson was a member of Wesleyan Methodist Church, where he also taught Sunday school and served on various committees and boards. He enjoyed teaching and woodworking. He also loved to hunt, fish, work on his lawn and garden, and make things easier for his loving wife of 62 years. |
