Lt. Richard G. Sedivec was a B-24 command pilot assigned to the 329th Bomb Squadron, the 93rd Bomb Group, and the 8th Air Force, USAAF, in Hardwick, U.K. He Failed to Return (FTR) from bombing mission over Bremen, Germany, flying the B-24D, 42-40765, Valient Virgin, after he collided with another B-24D aircraft, Joisey Bounce, 41-24226, which had been shot up, and was spiraling down, out of control, missing a wing. Both planes crashed near Husum, Germany. Lt. Sedivec was listed, Killed In Action (KIA).
