ROBERT MATHIE (Prisoner of War (POW)); NOSE GUN--Sergeant. IRVING NORRIS (Prisoner of War (POW)); RADIO--S/Sergeant. FRANK MacPHERSON (EVADER)(DECEASED ); ARMORER/GUNNER--S/Sergeant. HUGH CASEY BOMAR (EVADER)(DECEASED ); BALL TURRET--Sergeant. WILLIAM L. CUPP (EVADER). 2nd Lt. Wright (Bombardier, B-24) on a mission to Laon, France went down North of Ath, Belgium with the aircraft crashing at Wodecq. The Pilot waited too long to exit and his chute did not have time to open. Wright landed in a tall tree in Papignies, suffering a sprained ankle. He was met there by Mlle. Laure Remy and Mme. Marie-Louise Deltenre-Auverlaux. M. Abel Coton quickly arrived at the scene and helped him to shelter. Later he was hidden at a farm in Grand Monchaut (Ellezelles) by Antoine and Juliette Hubin-Duvivier (now Deceased). From EE Report: Immediate help. Chief Andre -->>-- 5 days with M. Franches at Ostiches. 11 weeks with Antoine Hubin (and son, Odin), 5 Camabron Rue La Lamack, Hainant until the US arrived in Brussels.
