"My wife and I take care for many years of the grave of Richard D Wright who crashed on 11the January 1944 after an bomber raid in Germany. His plane 42-31538 collided with plane 42-31236 after fighter attack of FW 190 of II/JG26.The plane crashed at Nieuw Helen (Holland). He was killed in action or died of wounds. There are 4 other crew members also buried on the American War Cemetery in Margraten (Holland): 2nd Lt Monitconte, Julius J 2nd Lt O'Grady, Michael D S/Sgt Allie, James S/Sgt Collins, Roger W. The Service number of Richard D Wright is O-808209 His nickname is Norah and the award is: Purple Heart with Oak Leaf Cluster."
