Ray T Matheny

Ray was shot down on 5 January 1944 in B-17 #42-31093 'The Deacon's Sinners'. He survived and was taken as a Prisoner of War (POW). He was held at Stalag 17B.
After the war, Ray worked as a mechanic with Western Air Lines. He re-enlisted during the Korean War. Following that stint of service, Ray went to college, eventually becoming professor of anthropology at Brigham Young University. He lives in Lindon, Utah.
