Raoul A Rousseau

Military ROLL OF HONOUR

Raoul Rousseau served as a ball turret gunner with the 379th Bomb Group, flying missions out of Kimbolton, England. On 6 September 1943, he was flying in B-17 42-3145 when the pilot was forced to ditch it in the English Channel. Rousseau made it safely back to base.



Just five weeks later, on 14 October 1943, Rousseau was killed when B-17 he was flying in (serial number 42-3176) was attacked by an enemy fighter over Germany.
