Awarded the DFC on dive bombing and strafing mission on 29 October 1944. Cohen destroyed two enemy aircraft and damaged a third. The medal citation praised Cohen's 'agressiveness and skill', claiming they were responsible for the sucess of the mission. He was also praised for his 'courage and superb flying ability'.
