Peter Gibbs trained on Course 4 at Falcon Field starting on 30 September 1941 and graduating on 8 March 1942.
Peter was a Sergeant Pilot until 19 January 1944. He was commissioned on 20 January 1944 and when his commission was confirmed on 20 July 1944, he was promoted to Flying Officer. He was invalided out in 1945 having shot down 4 flying bombs in 1944, destroyed numerous motor transport and a number of trains.
