Louisville, KY, USA | 15 July 2014 | Plaschke, Paul S., Sr.,91, passed away Tuesday July 15, 2014.He was born July 23, 1922 in Louisville, KY, and was the fourth generation of artists in the Plaschke family. He graduated from Male High School in 1942, was a student in his Grandfather's Art Academy and completed flight training in the Air Force. He was a co-pilot of a B-24 Bomber in World War II, one of his notable missions was flying gas into Patton during the battle of the Bulge. He was a graphic designer and illustrator throughout his career and worked with his son in their design business for over 25 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Emil and Joyce Plaschke and his beloved wife of 68 years, Dorothy Rae. Survivors include his sister, Mary Clingman;his son, Paul, Jr;. and daughter, Brenda; grandson, Bennett Luedeka, his wife Krista and their daughter Elise; granddaughter, Logan Marie McAllister, her husband Cody and their children Melody and Hunter. Visitation will be Friday July 18, 2014 from 4-8 p.m. and funeral services will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at Pearson's Funeral Home, 149 Breckinridge Lane with burial at Cave Hill Cemetery. - See more at: http://www.legacy.com/obituaries/louisville/obituary.aspx?pid=171750182#sthash.yK15rZTM.dpuf |
