Paul Raymond McDonald was the youngest child of Daniel & Ida McDonald. He graduated from Winslow Indiana High School and worked for defense in Indianapolis prior to entering the service.
He was photographed with Elliott Hofkin's flight crew, but replaced S/Sgt Fleury as engineer/top turret gunner with Leo Canelake's crew for the 20 Dec 1943 mission to Bremen. On return, about 70 miles from the English shore, the plane was hit by anti-aircraft and went down in the North Sea. The entire crew was lost.
