CAPT Owen P. Farmer, Jr. of the 505th Ftr Sq, 339th FG in front of his aircraft. Officially credited with two confirmed aerial victories, Farmer flew five different Mustangs, all nicknamed "Dibbo" and coded 6N-H. This is probably P-51D 44-13946. Completed tour of duty June 4, 1945, hometown Ft. Scott, KS

Colonel John B. Henry, of the 339th Fighter Group, stands beside P-51 Mustang (6N-A, serial number 42-106676), known as "San Antone Rose" after Henry's home town of San Antonio, Texas.
