CMSgt. Odie D. Hill, Jr., 88, of Ocean Springs, passed away Saturday, December 22, 2012 at Keesler Medical Center.



Chief Hill entered service into the Army Air Corp. in 1943 and retired from the U.S. Air Force in 1969. He served oversea tours of duty in England (World War II), Greenland, Korea, Spain and Germany.



He enjoyed small game hunting, fishing, golfing and bowling. For many years he called Bingo at several churches and the Biloxi Elk’s Lodge #606 of which he was a Life Member, also a Life Member of the Biloxi VFW Post #2434.



Chief Hill is preceded in death by his parents, Odie David and Martha Stewart Hill; and his first wife, Jennie Elizabeth Bowling Hill.



His survivors include his wife, Faye Fleming Keiper Hill; two step daughters, Sueann Grubbs Holiday (Carl) and Christina Thornhill; and one step son, Kenneth Brown (June).



A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 22, 2013 at Christus Victor Lutheran Church in Ocean Springs. The Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.



In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Christus Victor Lutheran Church, 2755 Bienville Blvd., Ocean springs, MS 39564 or American heart Association, 2159 E. Pass Rd., Gulfport 39507
