Neal Creighton was Headquarters Commandant of 8th USAAF for a little over two years.
He was decorated with the military awards Legion of Merit with 3 oak leaf clusters and the Bronze Star.
He also received an OBE from the British Crown. This decoration appointed Creighton as an Honorary Officer by Order of the British Empire.
