Bailed out over Belguim during 30th mission to Mersberg, Germany when 2 engines went out on the left side. aircraft was 42-38159 which was shot down over Merseberg on November 21 but limped back to Belgium and all parachuted to safety. Aircraft pancaked, crewless, into a field and was repaired and recovered back to England
Awards: DFC, AM (3OLC), WWII Victory, EAME (4 bronze stars).
