Killed in Action (KIA). Shot down 14-Oct-43 in B17 42-30707 'Piccadilly Commando' on Schweinfurt mission. Killed in Action (KIA).

 

Awards: AM, PH.

KIA when the plane crashed and blew up, 2 KM west of Langenbergheim GE.  Buried the following day in the Langenbergheim cemetery the following day and identified as Unknown X-1660.

Disenterred on or about FEC 1946 and reinterred at St. Avold on 22 Feb1946

Noted in the X-1660 file on 20 April 1956 that it was considered "most favorable" as being SSG Uhrin, "but not considered conclusive".
