Michael met Donna at a USO sponsored dance when he was a crew chief with the 5th Troop Carrier Sqdn at Wright-Patterson. They announced their engagement December 7th 1941! He was to fly on 35 combat missions, spent six and a half years in the Air Force and later worked as a lab technician at Wright Field.
