Died Killed in Action (KIA) |
Le Bourget, France | 16 August 1943 | Killed in action – 16th August, 1943 T/Sgt. Melvin A. Feigenbaum was killed after being hit by gun fire on the mission to Le Bourget Airport, France. It was unclear at what point in the mission he was killed, but it seems likely after ‘bombs away’. This was only his 2nd combat mission. There were no other losses in the crew of ten, with the aircraft “The Dallas Rebel” safely returning to RAF Grafton Underwood. |
