Completed 29 missions from 1944-1945. He was discharged October 1946. Returned to Arkansas and joined Army National Guard in 1947. He was moblized in 1950 and served in Korea and Vietnam. He retired July 1967 at Ft. Sill, OK. Mikles was afterwards a pharmacist.
