Leroy C. Sugg of Huntsville, Alabama, completed 25 missions as a B-17 co-pilot and pilot in the 423rd Bomb Squadron of the 306th Bombardment Group (Heavy). He was killed on 2 June 1944 while bailing out as Pilot of B-29 #42-6375 of the 234th Army AF Base Unit, which had caught fire. The ship crashed 18mi SE of Clovis AFB, New Mexico.
