During a training flight on third attempt to land in poor visibility with one engine out, B24H #42-7532 'Lead Poison' skidded and ran off the runway. RTD. Crew baled out of B-24H #42-7604 after flak damaged No 3 engine on a mission to Brandenburg, GR on 9 Mar 1944. A/c crashed SW of Hanover. Prisoner of War (POW).
