WENT INTO THE AIR FORCE AS A CADET, WASHED OUT WENT TO GUNNERY SCHOOL AT DENVER, CO. FROM THERE TO TENN, TO JOIN-UP WITH A CREW. TRAINED, THEN WENT TO NH. FLEW OVER TO BRITAIN WITH 9 OTHER CREW MEMBERS ON OUR PLANE ROSE-ETTA #1 WE FLEW 36 MISSIONS, THEN CAME BACK TO THE STATES. I AM THE ONLY ONE ALIVE OUT OF THE CREW. ANOTHER CREW TOOK OVER OUR PLANE. COLLIDED WITH #43-38696 4 MILES FROM BASE ENROUTE TO HANOVER, GERMANY. ONLY 2 SURVIVORS: LOUIS CORREIA, TG, 7906 & HARRY BETTS, TG, FROM 8696. I FLEW TOTAL OF 36 MISSIONS, ENTERING SERVICE IN FEB 1943 TIL SEP 1944.
