John A Leynes Sr
MilitaryDad described several occasions when V1 flying buzz bombs hit his base, but no casualties. They were all amazed how the bombers could still fly after being shot up so badly the the German Artillery Fire. He told of one test hop where a new pilot reached up and actually feathered all 4 engines in flight. Dad was just able to get them started before they crashed!
