John particularly recalled his 18th mission, that of 29-Jul-44 over the Rhine. They lost one engine and then a second gave trouble and they dropped out of formation. The plane made it back to base but had problems landing and he only recalls waking up in hospital. He did recover and flew a total 35 missions. Member of Johnson crew.
