Joined 392nd BG 4 September 1944 as a tech sergeant.
Roger M. Brandt Crew. On 16th mission, 1 January 1945, plane number 560 crash landed in Mons, Belgium due to empty gas tanks. After one week in Belgium, flown back to base then assigned to 1st Lt. David R. Kerr and transferred to the 579th squadron as a 'Lead Crew'. Completed 28 missions.
He was a member of the American Legion post 32 and was honored as 'veteran of the month'.
Worked at Ford motor company for 30 years as a supervisor in the warranty division.
