11 February 1943, successfully belly landed B17 41-9044 when engine trouble. Mission was freight and passengers to Gibraltor. All crew and passengers were safe. 4 July 1943 B-17 42-5916 'Ruthie' had severe bomb damage and tire problems landing at RAF Portwreath with injured BTG Getty.
