Genech, France 29 January 1944 According to File # 2253 filed by Anderson and Galloway JT was in the top turret and was killed by a 20 mm shell. Anderson describes the attack this way. "We were attacked by a group of fighters some head on and some from the tail. We were outnumbered and their firepower ripped the ship to shreds.
