MilitaryShot down 9 April 1944 in B-17 #42-32070. Evaded. Shot down over Posnan, Poland and crash landed in Denmark. Was rescued by the Danish underground and smuggled out to Sweden with plans for a request of a bridge to be blown up for the resistance tied around his waist.
