Killed in Action (KIA). B-17G #42-107010 'Gloria Ann' crashed on takeoff. This crash was witnessed by Michael Hurlock ([email protected]) as a 17 year old boy who was getting dressed at 08:30 and saw the plane crashing to a stand still in the family garden narrowly missing their farmhouse. They were told to evacuate due to unexploded bombs.
