2nd Lieutenant James E. Mauzy was born May 27, 1923. His next of kin were his parents, James and Alpha Mauzy. He was from Plattsmouth, Nebraska.
He was the Bombardier aboard B-17 tail #44-6304 of the 305th Bomb Group, 442nd Bomb Squadron, when it crashed over Vollradisroda, Germany, on August 16, 1944. Of the crew of ten on board, only the pilot, 2nd LT Darrell V. Betz, survived.
He is buried in the US Military Cemetery at Neuville-en-Condroz, Belgium.
