James D Nendel

Military ROLL OF HONOUR

James Wendel served as a pilot with the 490th Bomb Group. He was later transferred to 801st/492nd Bomb Group.

He was killed when his aircraft, B-24 42-94841 'Sack Time', crashed on top of mountain in England taking off for a Carpetbagger mission. Only 2 survivors.
