7 June 2002 | Lt Col US Air Force World War II, Korea, Vietnam BILOXI --- Howard "Bud" Brown, 84, died Friday, June 7, 2002, in Biloxi. Mr. Brown was a resident of Biloxi and was of the Catholic faith. He was a veteran, serving in the U.S. Air Force for 28 years, retiring with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. He was a P.O.W. in Germany during WWII and earning the Distinguished Flying Cross and the Purple Heart. He was preceded in death by his wife, Leona Brown. Survivors include two sons, Richard Brown of Diamondhead and Gary Brown of Belton, Texas; his sister, Lucille Millen of Lake Havasu City, Ariz.; 10 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be at 9:30 a.m. Friday, in the Biloxi National Cemetery, directed by Riemann Funeral Home, Bay St. Louis. |
