Henry Giles Devlin was born on September 1st, 1922 in Newton Massachusetts. He enlisted in the Army Air Forces on November 12th, 1942 in Boston Massachusetts. He participated in training in the United States for just over a year. Upon completing training, he departed the U.S. through New York for Britain. He was assigned to 2901st. Hq Sq CCRC. attached to the 8th Air Force and further attached to 8th Bomber Command. He served in Great Britain, Glasgow Scotland, France and Belgium. He returned to the U.S. arriving back in New York on September 7th, 1945. He was honorably discharged on November 23rd, 1945.
