Mission #20 "Black Tuesday" to the ball bearing works at Schweinfurt, Germany. #4 engine was damaged and the right wing was on fire. MACR 382. Prisoner of War at Stalag Luft III and Stalag VIIA.

This was the first mission with the King crew. Lt Peeples was a pilot with is own crew. Unknown why he was co-piloting this mission. MACR interview documents indicate that Lt Peeples was missing toward the end of the war. He was seen at Dulag Luft and Luft III. It is unknown what happened to him.
