MilitaryFell out of formation after bombing target at Diepholz, GR on 21 Feb 1944 with trouble in two engines and unable to feather the props in B-17F #42-30280 'Crazy Horse'. Later attacked by FW190 and crashed near Bunschoten, Holland. Evaded. with the help of the underground in Belgium and later liberated there.
ETO Medal with 2 bronze stars; Amer. Defense Medal; Air Medal
