Gene Hackney Flew 35 missions from 26/10/44 to 18/03/45, the last 15 on 43-38544.

He made 1st LT AND began pilot training upon returning to the States after his tour ended.

He mustered out in January 1946 at Ellington Field, Houston Texas before marrying shortly afterward and after receiving a BS and Masters in Civil Engineering at the University of Houston he specialized in prefabricated buildings and housing for oil camps throughout the world.

He passed away on Feb 5, 2005 at his home in Bellville Texas at the age of 83 years old.
