Frank was born in Montello Wisconsin. He served in the Army Air Force from 1943-1945. He then got married, and settled in Milwaukee. He was a cabinetmaker/carpenter, and worked for the Milwaukee Public Schools. He enjoyed refinishing antique furniture, and carving duck decoys. He never spoke much about his time in England, but I know he was very proud to have served.

Hi Dave, I have removed the connection to B-24 41-23776 as that aircraft only served with the 44th Bomb Group:

Did your grandfather mention working on a Liberator called 'Spirit of 76'?
If he did, it must have been one with a different serial number.
