Mid air collision and crashed near Madgeburg on 6/29/44 in B-24 Cape Cod Special #42-51181, Prisoner of War (POW).



This is Frank Rinaldo's son, Frank Jr., entering this. I'm so proud of my dad and his crew that he flew with. He and other crewmen endured hard times in the POW camp, but did survive. Sadly, on Christmas Day, 1993 I lost my dad. But I have come in touch with the sons of 2 of his crewmen, and one niece of another. Kriss Smith, son of Lt. Randolph Smith (co-pilot), Thomas Conzoner, Jr., son of F/O Thomas Conzoner, Sr., (bombadier), and Martha Pedersen, niece of Lt. Nels Pedersen (navigator).
