Personal research on Lt Epting and B-24 # 41-23740 on which he flew and for which I created a page, as one existed for Lt Epting, with a mention of 41-23740 but no association between them.
Assigned to 409BS, 93BG, 8AF USAAF. Shot down 16-Apr-43 in B-24 41-23732 'Liberty Lass. ' Plane crashed into Bay of Biscay. Prisoner of War (POW) in Stalag Luft 3 and moved to Nuremburg 49-11. MACR 15198
