First mission 2 October 1944 to Kassel, Germany. Complete crew went to plane. No briefing (replaced crew) no maps. Took off and joined formation as told by other crew. From IP to target, a direct hit in #2 oil tank and couldn't feather the prop. Dropped to 12,000 ft and came home by ourselves on a heading of 270 to hit England somewhere and we did. Last mission was 28 February 1945 to Kassel, Germany.
