Staff Sergeant Elda L. Perry was born August 8, 1912. His next of kin were his wife, Nan Perry, and his parents, Fred and Gladys Perry. He was from Cyril, Oklahoma.
On November 5, 1943, he was the Ball Turret Gunner of “Big Assed Bird,” B-24 tail #42-7490, of the 392nd Bomb Group, 578th Bomb Squadron, when it was downed over Udem, Germany.
He is buried in Golden Gate National Cemetery in San Bruno, California.
