He was a member of the 437th TCG Association and was listed on their rolls from 1978 until 2007.
We have him listed as a Glider Pilot participating in one 437th flight for Operation VARSITY in March 1945. The National WW II Glider Pilots Association site also has him listed as a participant during Operation DRAGOON in August 1944 and during Operation MARKET-GARDEN in September of 1944.
We have a copy of the May 1945 orders (HQ 9th TCC - GO 71) that awarded Air Medals to various 86th TCS personnel, including to Lt Buehlman for his efforts during Operation VARSITY.
