Killed when his aircraft crashed and burned on return from Magdeburg at Bury's Hall Farm, Carleton Rode, 100 yards from the runway, in full view of all those who daily came to "sweat them in", following a mid-air collision with 42-95102, Spirit of Notre Dame.
