I am his grandson and even though he died almost 20 years ago his story is passed down through his wife of 50 years, my grandmother. As a kid I would sit beside his chair listening to stories of his missions. The most memorable is when the "Little Gramper Jr" was shot up so bad he landed on the belly with no landing gear. There is a book called Raiders of the Reich which has a chapter and pictures of just a few missions. I have his medals, and awards in a plaque on my living room wall. One is the "Lucky Bastards Club". I wish I had more time with him, I was 15 when he passed and I'm 33 now. My grandmother talks about him everyday, I can only hope to love and be loved as they did. They had 4 children, 3 are still alive. If I can help in any way with pictures of more detailed stories please let me know.
